Meet Our Team

Cheryl has been in the dental field for over 30 years. Over the past several years, additional responsibilities allowed for experiences in management, training, becoming our patients’ insurance advocate and embracing the quickly advancing technology in dentistry.

She was born and raised as a typical Orange County girl: growing up spending time on the beach, learning to ski in the local mountains and doing several other outdoor sports. As a young mother, dentistry provided a special opportunity to raise a family and balance an enjoyable career. She has three grown children and is a proud grandmother of seven adorable grandchildren

She feels Dr. Sorge is an amazing dentist. “He has an artistic hand and eye for dentistry. His work is beautiful. Plus, he is a super nice guy and relates well with people. Our staff is well rounded with lots of creativity and experience.”

Dana gravitated to dentistry during her college years. She has been practicing dental hygiene for over 25 years, graduating from Pasadena City College in 1985. Living in San Clemente for 30 years now, with husband at her side, they have raised three children and have two grandkids, thus far.

When not working, she enjoys babysitting grandkids, doing Pilates, playing pickleball and traveling to golf events, (her daughter plays on the LPGA).

“I love working for Dr. Sorge and being a part of the Epic Family Dental Practice. I would consider myself to be a Type A person so being a hygienist has always been a perfect fit to help patients have healthy, happy and sparkling smiles.”

Kim started her career in dentistry about 30 years ago as a dental assistant in San Jose, CA. She received her degree in dental hygiene from Cabrillo College in 1992 and shortly thereafter relocated to the Orange County area. She has been with this practice over 20 years.

“I enjoy getting to know my patients and providing them with high quality care. It’s very satisfying when patients appreciate and thank me for taking good care of them. I’m grateful I’m able to work in such a beautiful, high-tech office. Dr. Sorge is an experienced, caring and highly skilled dentist and has the patient’s best interests in mind. He also makes us all laugh, have fun and appreciates his hard-working staff.”

Kim loves her two children. Her daughter is in college and her son lives and works close in San Clemente. After work, she enjoys the local beaches, walking or running the trails, skiing, cooking and traveling.

Claudia has been in the dental field for 6 years. After taking a moderate break to raise her two children, she returned to the dental field in 2020. After years of working as a RDA she chose to further her education by returning to school on weekends to receive her RDAEF (Expanded Functions) certification. Essentially, expanding her ability to deliver crowns, place and finalize fillings and be an extension of the dentist in many ways.

She was born and raised in Orange County and has been in San Juan Capistrano most of her life. Claudia’s first love is being a full time mom. In fact, you might find her at local sporting events and dance events being the #1 cheerleader for her son and daughter. Her family continues to be a huge support!

As the newest member of Epic Family Dental, Claudia is enjoying working alongside Dr Sorge and learning his methods. She feels Dr Sorge’s meticulous work and caring bedside manner is very important in creating Epic Smiles!
